Student Life offered relaxation stations Tuesday and Thursday in preparation for winter quarter finals.
These relaxation stations have become somewhat of a tradition here at Shoreline Community College and have seen large turnouts in previous years.
“We normally do our events for about 30 or 40 people and sometimes we get 50, 60 people for these kinds of events,” says Maran Soto, student and event coordinator Maran Soto says,
This year’s events included a craft session on Tuesday from 1-3 pm in the Ray W. Howard Library. Craft supplies for keychains, posters and air-dry clay were provided as well as Cup Noodles.
Thursday’s event was hosted in the Quiet Dining Room from 2:30-4:30 and saw quiet activities including board games and a study space for anyone in need of a low stress environment to finish up those last few assignments of the quarter.
Safeway sandwiches and sushi from AA sushi were provided along with bean bags for laying back and relaxing. Both events this week as well as all future Student Life hosted events are open to all SCC students.
