An opportunity to step into a place of endless possibilities was offered at this winter’s Club & Resource Fair. In the main dining room of the PUB on Jan. 29, SCC’s Student Life hosted a diverse range of student clubs and promoted the academic resources available to potentially uninformed students.
Ho Chi Ching Liz, an event organizer from Student Life, said she “felt really happy to see a lot of students get engaged in the Resource Fair. Seeing more students engage in our available clubs and more members and officers made me really appreciate their efforts.” Despite the challenges of time management and coordination, Liz was thrilled to witness student participation and leadership. It wasn’t just an event for her – it was an essential moment in fostering connections, sparking student involvement, and building a more united, resourceful Shoreline community.

Nathan Hauw found the Resource Fair especially exciting and valuable as a second-year international student. He said, “it’s a good way to connect with new people, and it’s a super fun event.” Nathan was drawn to the Salsa Club as a lover of dancing and the Deca Club for its development of communication and presentation skills.
“I find it easy to connect with the clubs since they have a QR code that you can scan or a sign-up sheet,” said Hauw. “[The fair is] definitely worth a shot.”
With its positive atmosphere and well-structured layout, the Club & Resource Fair successfully hosted nearly 150 Shoreline students, highlighting the beauty of connection and collaboration among students.
