Many years ago, Shoreline librarians had their own The Ebbtide column called Carrel Notes—the name refers to the small study cubicles found in libraries. These articles were recently rediscovered these articles during the ongoing project to digitize past issues of The Ebbtide, preserving the college’s history one issue at a time.
As of May 2025, 6,172 pages have been digitized, supported by a $4,000 mini-grant from ASG and $1,500 from The Ebbtide’s budget. This year, the library also received a $5,000 Innovation Grant from the Foundation to complete digitizing the remaining issues. The digitized editions can be accessed here.
