The hit comedy-drama musical “Mamma Mia,” based on songs by the band ABBA, has come to 5th avenue. “Dancing Queens” as young as 17 (or younger) can spend their “Money, Money, Money” with their honey, honey, honey and sing along to ABBA songs while also watching the story of Mia and her search for her true father unfold. SCC Student Showcase and Seattle Jazz Guitar Society Concert

Ya like Jazz? Caffe Musica will be hosting the snazzy SCC Student Showcase and Seattle Jazz Guitar Society Concert this Sunday for free. There will be an aperitivo menu available for $15 and SCC students with their ID will get a $2 discount.

New SCC Art Gallery Recep­tion

SCC’s newest art gallery will be open to the public Feb. 5 – March 23, and will feature hand-woven jewelry made with wire. Visiting artist Leah Gerrard will be available to answer any questions at the reception and will be holding a free workshop for students to learn her trade.

Chinese New Year

Who let the dogs out? The International District celebrates the 2018 Chinese Lunar New Year and the upcoming Year of the Dog by showcasing the rich diverse Asian community. Poly Gras: An Evening with Polyrhythmics

Minors stay home, it’s time for the adults to have fun. The 21-and-up Mardi Gras event will be featuring Funk and Afrobeat bands such as Ten Man Brass Band. PolyGras’ two set performance will also feature a special documentary about the history and evolution of the Deep Funk Revival. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show will begin at 9 p.m. Ticket prices range from $16 to $20.
