Set in the dark underbelly of 1800’s London, The Threepenny Opera follows the story of Macheath (Mack the Knife) in a thrilling tale of greed, love, crime and survival. Based on The Beggar’s Opera, this biting satire brings the post-war rise of capitalism to life. Tickets are $12.00 for SCC students online and at the door. Music Student Recital

Support SCC’s music students, some of whom will be making their debut performance. All participants are involved in ensembles or private lessons held by the college.

Best of 2019 Conscious Cartoon Series Screening

View short, animated films with socially conscious themes. Screenings will be followed by discussions led by Psychology Professor and film aficionada Diana Knauf.

The Library (Winter Drama Production)

7:30 p.m., March 12-14, 3 p.m., March 15; Black Box Theater

SCC’s production follows Caitlin Gabriel as she struggles to tell her story after surviving a deadly school shooting. However, alternative narratives gain traction in local media and paint her in a different light. This chilling drama asks us to examine our relationship with the truth and the lies that claim to heal us. Refreshments available. No children under 5 allowed. Not recommended for ages 12 and under. Tickets: $10.

Piano Juries

Piano students perform a solo piece for a jury comprised of piano faculty as part of their final exam. Everyone is welcome.
