The Mystery of Edwin Drood, the musical
Come down to this steampunk style play, that’s an interactive whodunit mystery based on Charles Dickens’ unfinished novel. Edwin Drood is murdered one night, and there is an abundance of potential culprits, from a romantic rival to an infamous purveyor of opium and vice. This charming musical is bound to give you an entertaining night. Performances are May 13,14,20, and 21 at 7:30 pm, and May 15 and 22 at 3pm. General admission tickets are $18, seniors and non-SCC students are $12, and SCC students and children are $10.
Octavia’s Brood Writing Workshop
Come to a Margin to Center event featuring Walidah Imarisha, co-editor of Octavia’s Brood, adrienne maree brown, who hosted a series of Octavia Butler themed workshops, and Gabriel Teodros, who made his debut with a story published in Octavia’s Brood. It will be a science fiction writing workshop for all aspiring authors, or anyone who is interested in attending. It will be May 18th, from 3-4:30pm in the PUB, room 9208.
Hiking Poo Poo Point
Join Shoreline’s intramural program to a trip to Poo Poo Point. It is a great chance to explore the great outdoors and get a look at some astounding scenery, as well as get some good exercise. There will be a charter bus that leaves SCC at 8:30am and returns to SCC by 4:30pm. It’s a great way to spend the Saturday of May 21st. There is a limited space of fifty participants, and there is a cost of $30. You don’t want to miss this chance.
