CJ Prosise, RB, Seattle Seahawks
One hundred fifty-three all-purpose yards. Seventeen carries, and seven targets in the passing game. The third round draft pick out of Notre Dame showed up in a big way for the Seahawks. He took Christine Michael’s job, and he’s a versatile weapon on a potentially explosive Seahawks offense. The problem being that sometimes the Seahawks offense is anything but explosive. It seems to depend on the status of Russell Wilson’s ratio of motor oil to Nanobubbles used to keep his bionic leg from falling off. This week the Seahawks play the Philadelphia Eagles who have allowed the third-least amount of points in the NFL, and have kept six of their nine opponents under 100 yards rushing. CJ Prosise may still be worth picking up and stashing despite having a bad matchup this week.
Christine Michael, RB, Green Bay Packers
Let’s be real, someone in your league already owns C-Mike, but he was waived by the Seahawks and picked up by the Packers this week. Ty Montgomery hasn’t practiced all week, James Starks is 30 and looking unimpressive so far this season. The time is now. The C-Mike hype train has been a phenomenon in the fantasy football community since he was drafted by the Seahawks as the heir-apparent to Marshawn Lynch. Maybe, just maybe, C-Mike will finally get his chance to shine in Green Bay. I’m not saying you should trade for the guy, but I’m not saying you shouldn’t either.
Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The dude graduated from Harvard. He’s a starting Tight End in the NFL and he’s averaging five targets per game, and has scored a touchdown in every other game he’s played in. In Week 10, he caught seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. His catch percentage last week was 100 percent. He’s only owned in 43 percent of ESPN Fantasy leagues, and unless your TE has the last name Gates, Gronkowski or Olsen he’s worth a look as a potential upgrade.
Taylor Gabriel, WR, Atlanta Falcons
This is the deepest pick of this week’s column. Taylor Gabriel is a rookie WR on the top-ranked offense in the NFL. The team has scored 24 touchdowns through the air this season. Gabriel has a 73.9 percent catch percentage this year. He’s scored three TDs in the last three weeks. The Falcons are on bye this week, so this might be an even sneakier pickup if you can afford to gamble on one of your bench spots. Gabriel is owned in less than three percent of ESPN Fantasy Leagues.
