The Associated Student Government (ASG) is the voice of the student body. They run events and govern student clubs. ASG meets bi-weekly at 3 p.m. on Mondays in Room 1010 the next meeting is on Feb. 6.

Mini-Grant requests
After a late start to the meeting, the Cooking Club applied for a Mini-Grant which caused some confusion among the present members of the council. The club’s first meeting was last Friday however when ASG met, the club had still not had its first meeting. The Cooking Club asked for a Mini-Grant of $792 despite not using all of their baseline budget. This caused confusion for most of the ASG. In the end, ASG decided that they would decrease the amount of money in the Mini-Grant, and then approve it.

ARC Nominations
All of the people who were nominated for the Appointment Review Committee (ARC) positions were approved. The ARC committee is made up of students who have gone through the application process and have been approved by the student government. The goal of the committee is to approve staff tenure.
