ASG in Review: May 24, 2021

The Associated Student Government holds board meetings via Zoom every other Monday. Students are welcome to join and voice concerns or speak to their representatives. The latest meeting was held May 24.

New Business

Mini Grants

Budget and Finance Officer Nathan Sidik began the meeting by giving ASG’s minigrant report: $12,341.18 out of $25,000 of the budget remains for the quarter.

ASG Presidential Election Results

The final results of the 2021-22 ASG presidential election were announced May 24 after voting was extended by a week. 71 votes were received in total, with candidate Samira Jimaale earning 29 votes and current ASG President Sunshine Cheng garnering 42.
This will be Cheng’s second term as ASG president.

The next ASG meeting is scheduled for June 7.
