Short film festival to take place at SCC in March

Jasmine Contreras-Lewis, News editor

The bulk of winter quarter has come and gone, leaving behind the fatigue of many overwhelmed students. Fortunately, relief is on its way in the form of March 5’s Shoreline Short Short Film Festival.

The festival, run by the Arts Council of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park, will see 14 filmmakers competing for two $1,000 prizes — one of which will be decided by the audience.

These local creatives will only be using 3-13 minutes to weave their tales, which will take on a variety of genres such as dramas, comedies, animations and music videos.

The event is being hosted in SCC’s main campus theater with two showings; one from 3-5 p.m. and another that evening from 7-9:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
