Set in South Korea and premiering in North America for the first time, “Last Child” focuses on how tragedies can both push and connect broken families.

SIFF – The Most Dangerous Year

Follow a tight-knit community of Washington families with transgender children through their fight against the onslaught of anti-trans rights legislation that has seized the state and country.

SIFF – Catwalk: Tales from the Cat Show Circuit

Curious about cats? This film focuses on the furry felines and their pampered lives as they prep for Canada’s competitive cat show circuit.

SIFF – Virus Tropical

Based on an autobiographical comic written by Power Paola, “Virus Tropical” follows a woman from birth to adulthood as she jumps through the hoops of this fragile thing called life.

Queer Film Series: Moonlight

Didn’t get a chance to see “Moonlight”? SCC will be showing the Academy Award-winning film right on campus. Follow Chiron, a young black man, as he attempts to navigate through his sexual and masculine identities.

Funk and Groove: Wellness Fair Concert

Small Ensemble Recital

SCC students enrolled in one or more music ensembles have been chosen by their instructors to perform for their peers in this recital. There’s no cost, just a musical time for free.

Music Tech Portfolio Show

SCC’s creative students are stealing the spotlight in spring quarter. The yearly Music Tech Portfolio Show will be showcasing what they learned from the past year — for free.

Kaleidoscope – Choir Concert

7:30-9:30 p.m., June 14; First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach

SCC’s Chamber Chorale and Shoreline Singers will be combing the works of known composers, writers and musicians in their upcoming production, “Kaleidoscope.” Donations will be accepted at the door, but the experience is free.

Instrumental Juries

10 a.m.-12 p.m., June 15; 800 Building, Room 818

Instrumental music trainees will once more perform in front of a jury for their final. Any student who performs exceptionally well has the chance to receive either Outstanding or Honorary Performance acknowledgment, with Outstanding scholars being able to perform at an honors recital.

Vocal Juries

12:30-2:15 p.m., June 15; 800 Building, Room 818

Like the instrumental juries, the following music jury will have the same schedule. Private vocal students will be evaluated by a select jury of music faculty, with the Outstanding Performers being given the opportunity to play at an honors recital.

Piano Juries

2:30-4:30 p.m., June 15; 800 Building, Room 818

SCC’s private piano players will be performing their best piece as their final exam in front of the jury and their peers.

Class Voice Juries

7-9:30 p.m., June 15; 800 Building, Room 818

The finale begins. The last jury exam will feature students performing vocally, either solo or in small groups.
