Avanti Markets is officially SCC’s new food provider. The college has not received any other offers from food providers, and Lancer will be ending their contract on Dec. 12.
When asked about the worries of the lack of hot food options in Avanti Markets’ vending machines, SCC administration said they’re looking into contracting food trucks and are also in contact with FOODA, a catering service company, to satisfy the demand for hot food.
Avanti Markets will have a soft opening on Jan. 6, and a full opening on Jan. 8, the first day of winter quarter.
