Racial Vandalism
Oct. 18 — 5000 Building
A student found a racially offensive sticker in the Career Education Options lobby and reported it to the front desk. The sticker was removed. Safety and Security is investigating the incident.
An Ebbtide staff member witnessed this incident; additional details were based on an email sent out by SCC President Cheryl Roberts.
Trespassing
5:10 a.m. Oct. 20 — 7000 Building
Safety and Security kicked a “non-community member” out of the conference room in the 7000 Building.
Disorderly Conduct
3:10 p.m. Oct. 23 — 5000 Building (Parking Lot)
A student upset over a parking citation confronted a Safety and Security officer. Safety and Security referred the incident to the Dean of Students.
Possession of Alcohol
8:45 p.m. Oct. 24 — 7000 Building
A friend of someone in student housing was apprehended while attempting to bring beer into the building. Safety and Security handled the incident and referred involved students to Student Conduct.
Vandalism
9:25 a.m. Oct. 28 — 800 Building
Vandalism was discovered in the women’s restroom on the second floor of the 800 Building. Safety and Security handled the incident.
Theft
9:56 a.m. Oct. 31 — 1700 Building
An employee reported a stolen laptop to Safety and Security.
The Ebbtide’s crime logs are based upon official crime logs provided by Safety and Security as part of their responsibility under the Clery Act. Additional details have been obtained through interviews with Safety and Security officers.
