New Clubs
ASG tabled the approval of the recognition of the video club until the next meeting on April 25, 2020. The representative presented a video of their club experience renting a house on Lake Cavanaugh. Parts of the video had inappropriate language. The purpose of the video club relating to SCC was unclear to most who attended.

Mini-Grants

ASG denied a mini-grant request from the cosplay clubs. The cosplay club wanted a $300 mini-grant to pay for their membership at Sakura-Con.

ASG declined their grant because their baseline budget had not been spent. Cosplay club spent money outside their pocket expecting to be reimbursed. Reimbursements are not recommended as CTCLink’s recent integration slowed processing and requests are backed up.

ASG approved a $5,840 grant for a new mascot costume, stickers and tattoos. The new Dolphie design was created by students.

ASG also approved a mini-grant request from DECA. DECA’s grant in the amount of $200.07 was for the welcoming party they were throwing. They were buying some items for goodie bags.

When getting approved for mini-grants, representatives should make sure that they are well prepared and ready to answer in-depth questions.

ASG meets every alternating week on Mondays. The next meeting is scheduled for May 9. ( via Zoom)
