Prepare to use your billiard skills, as a new club dedicated to billiards has opened in the game room within the PUB (Building 9000). The weekly meeting will be held every Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. In their sessions, newcomers can try to win a game against the club members and earn the prize of a $25 Doordash gift card.
“Our goal in opening this club is to gather all the players,’ said Kobi Leung, the president of the new club. “Every time I come down to the game room as a normal student, I can see a lot of students playing pool. They really enjoy their time here. I can see different groups every time, and I would like to gather them together and have a billiards community.”
Computer science major Qan Li said, “I think this club is pretty fun. It gives students an opportunity to play pool together and learn skills from their officers. [Their] teaching is good … talking about the details of the rules and how to play better. It’s making sure I know more about this sport.”
When asked on the future of the billiards club, President Leung responded, “We hope that all the students who are interested in playing billiards and pool can gather together easily and enjoy their time.”
