Shoreline Community College hosts one or two Washington Council Transfer Fairs every quarter (excluding summer). During the three-hour-long event, representatives from universities across the state of Washington promote their institutions and answer prospective students’ questions.
On Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 15 representatives from the University of Washington, Washington State University, Gonzaga University, Saint Martin’s University and more, gathered in the main dining room of the PUB (Building 9000).
The transfer fair offered lesser known universities in Washington an opportunity for direct outreach to any prospective students. “I think everyone thinks about UW [University of Washington] when they think about transferring,” said Tiff Meier, the host of the event, “but there’s lots of [other] options too.”
Any interested students who missed this recent transfer fair may attend the upcoming fair this winter quarter, scheduled for Feb. 27, 2025. Attendees can not only survey schools but explore available majors in conversations with representatives.
