Disability Awareness Month Events
Mental Health Panel

With May in full swing, Disability Awareness Month has also come around. The Access Advisory Committee plans to hold a Mental Health panel that will include students, faculty and mental health professionals. Everyone is invited to attend and any faculty member that does will be eligible for “Student Engagement” 10 hour credit.
Sensory Disabilities Panel

Another Disability Awareness event will be taking place at SCC. Students, faculty and ASL and Autism experts will be on the panel to answer any questions regarding sensory disabilities.
Financial Aid Workshop

FAFSAs aren’t easy — SCC’s financial advisors will be able to help you navigate those difficult documents.
Advisors Out and About

Haven’t had any time to speak with your advisor? Don’t fret — they’ll be out and about in the library, ready to answer your questions about the upcoming quarter.
Coffee With a Cop
11 a.m.-1 p.m., May 13; PUB Main Lobby
Don’t drink and drive: Instead, sit down and grab a cup of coffee with a member of local law enforcement. Officers from different departments will be available for any questions you may have.
Amazing Race
1-2:30 p.m., May 14; PUB Courtyard
It’s the battle of the clubs. Team up with four other members of your club and get ready to race against other groups for a first place prize of $200, split as $40 among each team member. Second and third place winners will also receive a monetary prize.
Sunfest

Summer’s almost here, so it’s time for Sunfest! Student Life will be hosting the annual event over a course of two days: Wednesday will feature a petting zoo from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. along with a snazzy performance from SCC’s Jazz Ensemble at 1 p.m. Thursday will feature carnival games, desserts and karaoke from 12-2 p.m.
Multicultural Job Fair

Local employers are on the hunt for a diverse, multicultural workforce. All students are invited and encouraged to bring their resumes and their questions regarding future job opportunities.
Honors College: Trivia Day

Get your knowledge on. The Honors College will be hosting their first campus-wide Trivia Day. All students are invited to sign up and there will be prizes for the top 3 teams.
